The
NCLEWA business meeting was held at Golden Corral in Gastonia, N.C. The
meeting was called to order by President Latisha
Allen at 12:30
p.m. and
Priscilla Barnett gave the invocation. Lorie Hersey conducted the roll
call of the Association's officers.

New Business
Greensboro will
be the host city for the conference since this is where the organization
started. Anita Fleming with Greensboro Area Visitors Center has
been contacted. Brenda Bishop suggested that we consider possibly staying
in the West Wendover area
because it has numerous stores, eating facilities and easy access to the
mall. (one exit away) Dates for the conference were selected Sept. 13-16
or Sept. 20-23,
2006. Banquet
should be held on that Sat. night and possibly a luncheon considered for
that Thurs. The theme for the conference "From the Past to the Future" 50th anniversary
NCLEWA. Training in self defense and Ethics in Administrative Investigations were
discussed. Instructors Steve Brandon and Danny Thacker were to be contacted.
Suggested Registration Cost is $65.00 which should include both meals.
Banquet Speaker is needed. Chief Pat Norris Winston Salem PD and Patsy Little SBI . Odessa Long will contact Chief Norris and Latisha Allen will contact Patsy Little.
The next board meeting will be March 28, 2006 Greensboro at the Golden Corral 4404 Landview Dr off W. Wendover Ave near I-40 Phone 294-8443.
