Quarterly Business Meeting

Call to Order

The NCLEWA quarterly business meeting was held at the K&W Cafeteria in Greensboro, NC. The meeting convened at 11:30 a.m. Patricia Smith gave the invocation. Vice-President Wanda Grier conducted the roll call of the association's officers.

Treasurer’s Report
Wanda Holland presented the Treasurer’s report. As of 08-30-2005, the ending balance is $4,583.45

Marissa Davis made the motion to accept the Treasurer’s report as read. Lori Herseyseconded the motion. The motion carried and was approved.

New Membership:
There were a total of nine applications received for NCLEWA membership. Those applicants are as follows:

Lori Hersey made the motion to accept those nominated for membership and Wanda Holland seconded the motion and the motion carried.

2005 Training Conference

The 2005 Training Conference will be held in Edneyville, NC. The daes for the conference will be November 17th through November 18th. Pre-registration will be on November 16th from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. The NCLEWA banquet will be on November 19th at 7:00 PM. Check out will be on the 20th. Also late registration will be held on the 17th from 8:00 to 9:00 AM.

President Allen has asked that all members attending the training conference bring at least one door prize. When members register for the conference with the NCLEWA, it is imperative that they register with the NC Justice Academy for housing.
