Agencies paying for multiple members:

Each new member must still complete the registration process (just exit out once you get to the payment screen).  The agency representative needs to email nclewa@yahoo.com with the names of each person and the preferred method of payment.
Membership Classifications:

Active:

Active membership consists of any individual working within the criminal justice profession or associated with the profession for the State of North Carolina or at the Federal level. The membership will be open to all genders and gender identities. Those who are retired from the criminal justice profession may also be active members as well as interns in good standing for the duration of their internship.

Associate:

Associate membership consists of those who do not work for a criminal justice agency (sheriff’s office, police department, state bureau of investigation, etc) but that still have and/or are making positive contributions to the field of criminal justice and empowerment of women. Examples of this would be attorneys, judges, clerks of court, administrative staff, human resources, evidence laboratory personnel, etc.

Associate members shall have the same privileges and responsibilities as active members. They shall be able to vote, make nominations, and hold office with the exception of the position of President, Vice President, Secretary, or Treasurer.

Honorary:

Honorary membership consists of any person who is not an active or associate member of the association, but has assisted, supported, or contributed to the association in an exemplary manner, always keeping the mission of women's empowerment and support at the forefront of their actions.  Honorary members shall not hold elective office, nor have voting rights.

Membership  Policy

New Members:

New member registrations will not be approved until voted on by the membership at the next business meeting (held quarterly), and payment must be received in full prior to being voted in.

Membership Dues will be applied to the year in which the member was voted in.  (Example: A new member registers in December, but is not voted in until the new year.)

Membership renewal:

Membership dues must be paid by the annual conference (September) in order to be eligible for Woman of the Year.
If dues are not paid by September of the current year, you will be removed as a member for that year.  Once payment is received, you will have to be voted in as a new member and your dues will
